Let Us Rescue You From Dental Pain

At Esthetic Smile Dental we will protect you from the increasing pain of tooth decay or gum disease

One thing that cannot be dismissed about tooth pain is this: Tooth pain (once started) will not go away on its own. At times, individuals get fooled because tooth pain can be intermittent, but eventually it will be there to stay as it just intensifies or escalates. Unfortunately for too many patients, bad tooth or nerve pain tends to raise its ugly head on the weekend or after hours when dental care is not available. Don’t let this happen to you! Many people who are having tooth pain are reluctant to call because they have a phobia about dental care. When you think about it, the pain issue is not about dental care, it’s about not getting dental care! Be advised that when anxiety is keeping you from getting the dental care you need, we offer sedation dentistry in all its variations, so you can enjoy pain free dentistry. When your body is telling you something is wrong with your teeth or gums, don’t delay, get help by calling Esthetic Smile Dental at (818) 344-4929. Our around the clock hotline in Reseda will connect you to one of our team, so they can get you a same day or next day appointment.

"Tips For Dealing With A Dental Emergency At Home"

At Esthetic Smile Dental in Reseda, our dentist shares some thoughts with you about dental pain control

"Once you arrive at my office in Reseda, I will get your dental pain under control without delay and then eliminate it all together. However, before you can come in so I can take care of you, there are some things you can do at home to reduce the pain so it is more bearable. A simple step is simply to use an ice pack on the outside of your mouth in the cheek area where your tooth or teeth are hurting. Don’t use heat (especially if you have an infection), as it can make the pain or infection worse. Rinsing your mouth with salt water at room temperature will help protect against infection that may be the product of a bad tooth, swollen gums or sores in the mouth. Two over the counter drugs that can also help with tooth and gum pain is Ibuprofen and extra strength Tylenol. Please consult with the pharmacist to see if these drugs are appropriate for you based on other medications you are taking and to find out what dosages are recommended. One more little tip: If you have a crown come off, you can put it back on using a denture adhesive until you can see me and I can reattach the crown for you."
